Amanda Huang is the Chief Operating Officer at Continental Underwriters, Inc. – a managing general underwriter and intermediary specializing in serving the insurance needs of companies in the forest products industry. Over the past 13 years, Amanda has grown with the business – from a temporary role as an Administrative Assistant to an Underwriter and ultimately to COO. Such an ascension has only been possible due to two important factors: the guidance and encouragement of her mentors, and her very own hard work and determination.
Amanda’s primary goal now is a simple one: Do good work. The exceptional individuals of the Continental Underwriters, Inc. team always strive to provide the best service possible and to always do things the right way, even if it’s not the easy way. With this objective in mind, Amanda works diligently each day to provide an atmosphere and build a culture that allows the superstar team of Continental Underwriters, Inc. to build strong and long lasting relationships with our broker and carrier partners. From continuing education, agency management and rating systems, and industry news and events to employee benefits, team building events, and fun office space, Amanda has a part in it all.
Amanda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from James Madison University (Go Dukes!), and was named an Elite Woman of 2018 by Insurance Business America. Amanda is also a finalist for the Virginia Women’s Business Conference’s 2019 Stellar Woman Award.
