Global Chief Human Resources Officer, McLarens

 

As McLarens’ chief “People Officer,” Mesalé Solomon-Mendes leads all aspects of the company’s policies, practices and strategy for Human Resources around the globe. She is a key member of our Global Management Team, working directly with leaders to identify and implement programs to further enhance McLarens’ compelling employer value proposition to ensure the firm is attracting, developing and retaining the top talent in the market. Among her priorities, Mesalé focuses on several critical global talent management initiatives, such as creating a culture of inclusion, enhancing staff development and training programs, implementing succession planning strategies, and ensuring competitive compensation/benefit packages – all aimed at making McLarens an “employer of choice.”

Mesalé’s background includes successfully managing large scale change initiatives in the areas of employee engagement, compensation and benefits, and transforming workplace cultures to drive substantial organizational value. Before joining McLarens, Mesalé served as Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer with IFG Companies, one of the largest privately held insurance groups in the United States. Prior to her work with IFG, she held strategic HR roles with industry leaders across multiple sectors, including Innotrac, Avis Budget Group, Miller Brewing Company and Ford Motor Company, where she earned her Six Sigma Greenbelt.

Mesalé earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Communication from Western Michigan University and a Master of Public Administration in Human Resources Management from Clark Atlanta University.
