Joy Mvogo, CPCU is a Senior, Home Office Underwriter for Philadelphia Insurance Companies. In this national role she has consistently delivered superior loss results in historically underperforming products, by working with key stakeholders on win-win solutions. She currently serves on the board of Atlanta Association of Insurance Professionals (NAAIA Atlanta) as Public Relations Officer and serves as Membership Director.  In this role she increased digital engagement by 700% in the first year and conducted several successful media campaigns to drive increased member, meeting and symposium attendance year over year.  She was named Membership Director at the end of 2021.

She studied Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting at Georgia Southwestern State University. She also holds six industry designations through The Institutes and in the spirit of Kaizen (continuous improvement) is working towards a seventh.

Joy has facilitated social media trainings for non-profit clients and board members, sat on panels discussing personal branding and visibility in corporate spaces. She has also presented to industry Employee Resource Groups about “The Power of a Transcendent Resume”, and personal branding as self-advocacy.

Her passions are Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Neuro-divergence Awareness and Acceptance. To that end she recently received the “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace” and “Inclusive and Ethical Leadership” certificates through University of South Florida.  She hopes to use this knowledge as an advocacy and awareness catalyst for underrepresented groups.
