Renae Flanders

Responsibilities
Renae Flanders is the Chief Operating Officer for Aon’s Construction Services Group in the United States. In this role, Renae partners with the business’s Chief Executive Officer to deliver growth to the firm and ensure the presence of a strong operating model in the business. Renae is also tasked with growing the Aon IQ of our colleagues to ensure Aon’s vast array of capabilities and expertise are brought to our clients.

Immediately prior to this role, Renae served one year as Deputy Regional Leader for the East and Greater New York regions, and prior to that role, she served nine years as Chief Financial Officer for Aon’s US-Retail operation.

Experience
Renae has been with Aon for more than two decades. Earlier in her tenure at Aon, she held a variety of finance positions, from overseeing the firm’s practice groups, to national sales and brokerage teams, to client profitability. She also served as a regional controller and an office finance leader.

Education
Renae holds a MBA from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh. She also completed Pinnacle, Aon’s Executive Education Program at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

Designations/Affiliations
Renae is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the PA Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the CFO Leadership Council. She founded the Aon Philadelphia Women’s International Network chapter, co-leads the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Council in the US, and was the recipient of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Women of Distinction award in 2015

Renae serves on the board of the Alpha Epsilon Phi Foundation, and enjoys teaching whenever possible.

Renae is based in Philadelphia, and lives in South Jersey with her husband and two children.
