Julie Zimmer heads Flexport’s Insurance business, as a part of Flexport’s Trade and Financial Services Group, Insurance is a major contributor to Flexports overall mission of making trade easy.

Flexport Insurance Solutions, LLC is a fully licensed US Insurance Brokerage that provides insurance products to help protect cargo and inventory for both customers who ship with Flexport as well as Insurance Led customers.

With over 25 years in the insurance industry, Julie has focused the last 10 years on developing InsurTech and digital distribution solutions. The last several years she has focused her efforts on building embedded insurance solutions and applying those solutions in ecosystem applications. Julie joined Flexport in 2020 as Head of Insurance and is a member of Flexport’s Senior Leadership Team. Prior to Flexport, Julie served as Chief Operating Officer of Embroker, as well as serving as Vice President of Sales for North America for Hub International. Julie also advises a variety of InsureTech startups and sits on the Board of Directors for Lucky Truck – a digital insurance brokerage focused on the trucking industry.

Julie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Bradley University. She has her CPCU and ARM Designations.
