Ruth Calabrese is President, Ruth Calabrese Leadership Coaching LLC, and an experienced leadership coach specializing in transformative collaboration with senior professionals and teams to help them reach their full potential and productivity. Her practice also provides individual assessments and training on team building, succession planning, talent selection and change management. Ruth is an impactful speaker and humorist, focusing on emotional and cultural intelligence, effective leadership styles, sponsorship and mentoring, coaching culture and effective team building.
Prior to establishing her private coaching practice, for over two decades Ruth worked for global insurer AIG, in underwriting, product line management and operations. Most recently, she was Senior Vice President & Global Head of Operations and Strategic Partnerships for AIG Client Risk Solutions, responsible for strategic planning, talent and expense management and execution of a complex operations platform for a global team of over 600 employees.
Ruth is a graduate of the prestigious Rice University, Doerr Institute CoachRICE Certificate program, and is ACC certified through the International Coach Federation. She also holds coaching credentials as a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and Birkman Certified Professional.
Ruth has a BS in Environmental Biology from Long Island University/Southampton, a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a licensed insurance broker.
