Marya defines and drives distribution priorities for the nation’s largest independent wholesale insurance broker, and manages various broker partnerships in an executive capacity. She supports field distribution and sales initiatives, collaborating closely with the senior leadership team to ensure execution of broker management strategies and growth initiatives as well as supporting programs expansion. Marya is also committed to developing and expanding leadership and emerging talent initiatives at All Risks, Ltd.

Marya worked previously at AIG as the Head of Broker Engagement for AIG's U.S. Commercial group from March 2016 – December 2017, formulating and operationalizing sales strategies to support product, segment, and industry growth initiatives, and ensuring execution via various broker channels. She joined AIG in March 2005 and held successive leadership roles at Lexington and AIG, including Head of Distribution Management for AIG’s US & Canada Property Group and Lexington Insurance (April 2013 to March 2016); Regional Industry Practice Officer from October 2011 to April 2013; Chief Operating Officer of Risk Specialists Companies Insurance Agency, Inc. (Lexington’s field operations); and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Lexington, which included oversight of Communications and Event teams.

Prior to AIG, she was Marketing Director at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. in Boston, Massachusetts; a Marketing Manager at Scott Danahy Naylon Agencies in Buffalo, New York; and a marketing and sales associate at Summit Companies, Inc. / Propis Agency Inc. (also in Buffalo, New York).

Her extensive product knowledge includes the domestic Excess and Surplus lines segment, and Property, Casualty, Financial Lines, Specialty, and Personal Lines businesses.

Dedicated to education and the future leaders of the RMI industry, she has served as a member of the Spencer Educational Foundation Board of Directors since 2012, and currently serves as Chairperson of their Board. She joined Temple University’s RMIH Industry Advisory Council in 2017 in Philadelphia, PA. Marya served in 2015 and 2016 as a Judge for the Spencer / RIMS Student Risk Management Challenge at the RIMS conferences.

Her Board service also includes a Board member at large for Disabled Sports USA, whose mission is to improve the lives of wounded warriors, youth, and adults with disabilities by providing sports and recreation opportunities.

She is a frequent speaker at industry events on the topics of emerging leadership, talent development, and women in leadership. Marya was awarded AIG‘s Global Women’s Leadership award in 2016, was recognized in January 2017 by the New York Business Journal as a Woman of Influence, named to IBA’s “Hot 100” list of insurance professionals in 2018 and 2019, and in 2017 and 2019 has been recognized by IBA as an “Elite Woman,” considered one of the industry’s most trailblazing women.

In June 2017, she was awarded the IICF Global Inclusion Champion Award, honoring the extraordinary contributions of insurance industry professionals who are working to advance diversity of all kinds within the field, while demonstrating an inspiring level of personal commitment to community service.

In May 2019, Marya was honored as the Insurance Professional of the Year by the New York City Association of Insurance Women (NYCAIW), a recognition based on her significant contributions to the industry throughout her career. She has consistently demonstrated excellence, professionalism, integrity and a commitment to the advancement and development of leaders in the insurance and risk management industry. Marya holds a Bachelor degree in English and Communications from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York where she grew up, and serves on the college’s Board of Trustees.
