Shannon Stefanski

SVP / Team Lead - Casualty Division, RT Specialty

Shannon Stefanski serves as an SVP / Team Lead within the Casualty Division of RT Specialty and is based in the RT Philadelphia office. Shannon joined RT Specialty when it formed in 2010 and has contributed to the tremendous growth RT Specialty has experienced; RT Specialty is now considered the 2nd largest P&C wholesaler in the United States. In 2014, Shannon received the RT President’s Award for Casualty, which recognizes excellence in the industry.

Shannon’s responsibilities include managing a substantial casualty book of business and team of 7 colleagues. Since 2013, under her guidance, her team has experienced 20% or greater organic year-over-year growth. The team’s expertise is focused on the construction, real estate and manufacturing arenas, where they have structured proprietary complex real estate programs, placed several intricate construction projects, and found insurance solutions for some of the most hazardous manufacturers in the world. Shannon was given the opportunity to become a team lead for the Philadelphia RT office in 2013. Over the last 7 years, she has helped develop and grow the office, expanding it from 10 to over 35 co-workers.

Shannon began her wholesale insurance career in 2006 in Chicago, working under Tim Turner (now Chairman and CEO of RT Specialty) in the Chicago, CRC office. Starting out on the service side, she quickly elevated into an account executive role. Prior to CRC, Shannon worked at Marsh Affinity Group Services from 2004 until 2006 as an account executive.

Shannon graduated from the University of Dayton in 2002 where she received a full scholarship to play basketball.  Although the wholesale insurance industry has been rewarding, Shannon’s largest accomplishment is her family, which includes her husband, Bob and 3 kids; Molly: 9, Bobby: 7 and Ryan: 4. Bob and Shannon participate in the Elpis Foundation, Big Brother Big Sister and the American Lung Association.
