Marguerite Dixen
President, Third Coast Underwriters
With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Marguerite knows and meets the unique needs of agents and customers. In addition to her role as founder and president of Third Coast Underwriters (3CU), she is currently president of Fundamental Underwriters — a managing general underwriter specializing in expert management of harder-to-place risks.
Prior to her roles with 3CU and Fundamental, Marguerite was senior vice president of a specialty workers’ compensation company in the Midwest and led a nationwide workers’ compensation construction practice. She has spent more than 20 years in Chicago in both traditional and specialty property and casualty positions and has managed a national account casualty operation in the Midwest.
In 2016, Marguerite was named a “Woman to Watch” by Business Insurance. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and is designated both as a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and an Associate in Risk Management (ARM).
