Account Executive, Sachs Media
Brooke Williams is an Account Executive at Sachs Media, a national strategic communications firm that provides public relations, public affairs and crisis communications consulting services to mid-sized to large corporate, non-profit, and government organizations facing high-stakes challenges. As an Account Executive, Brooke supports the Public Affairs team's client relationships, account management, and communications strategies. Before joining Sachs Media, Brooke worked for The Cypress Group, the University of Florida, the Florida Office of the Insurance Consumer Advocate and TIAA.
Brooke’s prior roles provided a strong foundation for her work as a public relations and public affairs professional. In the Office of the Insurance Consumer Advocate, Brooke directly assisted the state Insurance Consumer Advocate by researching and addressing insurance policy concerns related to Florida consumers, assisted in developing legislative partnerships, and advocating for policy solutions. While with the Office of the Insurance Advocate, she engaged in consumer outreach and advocacy work related to specific public policy issues such as: assignment of benefits, balance billing, and the re-authorization of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Brooke also led the Office’s efforts to increase online engagement, build relationships with the media, and improve its overall external communication strategies.
In addition to Brooke’s work in Florida, she also gained valuable experience in Washington, D.C. with The Cypress Group, a strategic advisory and advocacy firm that counsels clients on public policy risk and opportunity and TIAA, a Fortune 100 financial services organization. During her time as a government relations intern for TIAA, Brooke supported the team in progressing policy positions on various topics by creating communications materials, tracking congressional and federal agency activities, and conducting research on critical topic areas.
Brooke has a Bachelor of Arts in public relations and a Master of Arts in political science with an emphasis in political campaigns from the University of Florida.
