Montrae Williams is a strategic leader with more than 33 years insurance industry experience and a solid history of building high performing teams, while delivering key performance results. She is an accomplished change agent and natural collaborator highly capable of leading operational initiatives through demonstrated impact and influence skills. Her superb communication abilities combined with exceptional organizational leadership qualities have afforded her an opportunity to work with various cross functional teams.Montrae is currently the Head of P&C Claims Sales and Service at The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. In this role, Montrae provides leadership to an organization that serves as key account and agency executive liaisons to The Hartford’s most important agents, top partners, and large customers. She ensures that her team maintains strong relationships with while attracting profitable business and delivering consultative claim services. Prior to joining The Hartford, Montrae spent seventeen years at The St. Paul Companies, Inc. and Travelers Companies, Inc.Montrae is a member of National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) where she the inaugural keynote speaker for P.R.O.U.D (Professional Risk Management Opportunity Upward Development) at Bethune Cookman University. This initiative was geared at driving awareness of insurance industry careers amongst college students at historically black college and universities.

Montrae has been a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. for thirty- four years and embodies a commitment of service to all mankind. Montrae works in many capacities through her sorority to positively impact the community, i.e., she served as Graduate Advisor to undergraduate students at four universities, fundraising chairperson for the 501c3 organization that provides scholarships and community educational programs, Recording Secretary and various local and regional committee leadership positions. She is currently Hospitality Chairperson, Regional Corporate Development committee member and Director of Finance of Roseville Apartment Housing Trust.
